   Rev. Mark E. Rustin, Pastor

        

   Rev. Rustin was born and raised in Old Town, ME. He served as a law enforcement officer for twelve years, a small business owner for five years, and, for the last 31 years as an ordained pastoral minister in the Congregational Way. He was educated in the University of Maine System and Bangor Theological Seminary.

   During his ministry career he has served the Veazie Congregational Church, Second Congregational Church of Warren, ME, and the North Deering Congregational Church in Portland, ME, where he recently retired with nearly twenty-six years of service and now holds the position of Pastor Emeritus.

   He was called to be the settled pastor of Carmel Union Congregational Church on October 14, 2012. He is also the treasurer of the Congregational Christian Council of Maine of which we are a member. He and his wife LaVerne reside in Newburgh.
